This page explains what personal data Viralhooks collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and sign-in information, handled by our sign-in provider. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Subscription details: your plan, its status and renewal dates. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Basic usage and technical data: things like your browser type and IP address in server logs, which our hosting provider keeps for security and to keep the site running.
- Messages you send us: if you email support, we keep that conversation so we can help you.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal data.
- We don’t show third-party ads on useviralhooks.com.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and database.
- Clerk handles sign-in and sessions.
- Our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) processes payments, tax and invoices as the seller of record.
- Our email provider delivers account and billing emails.
These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States. They are bound by their own privacy and data protection terms.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to process payments. We don’t currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If we add analytics or advertising tools later, we’ll update this page and ask for consent where the law requires it before they go live.
About creators in the library
The library includes public information about public videos: the creator’s public handle, a link to the post, public view, like and comment counts and a short excerpt. If you’re a creator and want your content removed, see our takedown process.
How long we keep data
We keep account data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons (for example invoices, which our payment provider keeps).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the UK, EU, Australia, Canada or California), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@useviralhooks.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Viralhooks isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
